Jordan is not looking at this office as a political steppingstone. Gallatin County is her home and wants to reestablish a County Attorney's Office that protects our community through ethical prosecutions.

Some of the best resources in this community are based on working with other agencies, not against. Jordan is committed to reestablish these relationships which will save time, money, and resources for Gallatin County.

Ethical Prosecution

The United States and Montana Constitutions are where our entire system lies. Without daily effort to ensure our laws are complied with, our judicial system fails victims and those accused.

Training

Whether it is in house attorney's, child protective services, or law enforcement, up to date training is imperative. Jordan will bring back trainings for these entities in order for a better functioning county.

Filing Integrity

Criminal cases hold the highest burden of proof in court because accusations and convictions take away a person's liberties. Jordan has and remains to be dedicated to ethical review and filing standards, which must be implemented in Gallatin County.

Fulfilling Victim Rights

Victims in Montana have statutory rights including case input, notification, and the right to be heard. Jordan will get back to enforcing these rights in Gallatin County in all victim related cases.

In-House Investigator

Having an investigator in the County Attorney's Office would speed up follow up with cases and allow law enforcement officers to concentrate on open cases, while having an investigator working directly in house with the prosecuting attorneys.

Reduce Outside Contract Work

Many cases and other assignments are being contracted out to private attorneys. Jordan would focus on bringing the financial cost of these private attorneys back into the office and work on raises for salaried employees, with the hopes of expanding in-office personnel.
