Jordan spent approximately 4 months working as a correctional officer intern at the South Dakota Men's State Penitentiary gaining invaluable experience in corrections and the criminal justice system. Jordan's daily tasks included working on the tiers, supervising the rec yard, and manning the watch towers during lockdown and transitional times. Jordan supervised anywhere from 400 to 1,000 inmates daily depending on assignments. After working in the prison system, Jordan decided she wanted to get involved in the criminal justice system before prison and decided to apply for law school.

Immediately upon graduation with a Sociology degree, with special interest in Criminal Justice and Human Services (minor in Psychology), Jordan applied to and was accepted to law school.

During the summer after Jordan's second year at law school, she secured an internship with the local Office of Public Defender, where under the student practice rule handled court hearings, bail modification hearing, and review of cases.

During Jordan's last year at law school, she secured an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice, where under the student practice rule reviewed cases for charging viability, shadowed court proceedings with her supervisor Tim Racicot, assisted with response motions, and any miscellaneous tasks available.

Graduating in May of 2015, Jordan took and passed the bar exam with an immediate prosecution job offer in Blaine County, Montana.

Jordan began working as the misdemeanor prosecutor in Blaine County. Jordan then became the ad interim County Attorney  when her boss, Kelsie Harwood, went on maternity leave. Jordan continued to cover the misdemeanor cases, as well as the felony law and motion court days. At this time Jordan also handled the civil lawsuits and worked with the commissioners while checking in with County Attorney Harwood.

Jordan was offered (and accepted) a prosecution job at the back home in Gallatin County. Jordan continued prosecuting misdemeanor cases until she was asked to co-chair the DeWise Deliberate Homicide case. During this time Jordan was transitioned to a felony prosecutor position where she continued prosecuting violent and sexual offenses while also maintaining drug possession and DUI cases.

Jordan was offered (and accepted) a prosecution job at the Montana Attorney General's Office in 2022. Jordan continued prosecuting cases out of Gallatin County and across the State. Cases included Double Deliberate Homicide, Sexual Intercourse without Consent, Attempted Homicide, and Sexual Assault.

After a decade of prosecution, Jordan decided to go into private practice where she has focused on criminal defense work and orders of protection. This experience has given Jordan a look into the criminal justice system from the other side, which has been imperative to becoming a well-rounded attorney.
